When I saw the movie Star Wars, I was intrigued to know how does Darth Vader die. The film was filled with great moments of suspense, thrill and tension. As I began to watch, I could not help but wonder what it would be like if the Jedi master was a real person. Would he really be able to defeat the Dark Side?
Anakin Skywalker
The original trilogy of Star Wars is famous for its villain, Darth Vader. His masked face is a symbol of evil, but he was not always a villain. He was just one of the many Jedi who took part in the war.
Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi who was prophesied to bring balance to the Force. At nine years old, he was discovered on Tatooine by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Soon after, he became an apprentice of Emperor Palpatine.
In the years that followed, Anakin had an inclination towards impulsiveness and recklessness. His lack of care for the Sith was apparent. This led to his being lured to the dark side by Darth Sidious.
During the Clone Wars, he was promoted to the position of General of the Republic’s clone army. Anakin also helped to capture a Separatist-controlled fortress. Later, he helped to destroy the Jedi Order.
In 2022, he appeared on Disney Plus. In addition, he was involved in several episodes of the 2D animated online micro-series Forces of Destiny.
Besides being a popular villain, he is also a famous figure in popular culture. He has been listed among the greatest fictional characters of all time. For example, he is cited as the most influential character in all of cinema.
Luke Skywalker
Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises of all time. The original trilogy featured epic space battles and a melodramatic relationship between Luke Skywalker and his Sith father Darth Vader.
When Darth Vader died, it was in the hands of his son, Luke Skywalker. The Sith Lord was a major villain in the Star Wars saga, as well as in numerous video games, novels and comic books.
In the movie, Darth Vader fought his son in a final duel. They both received serious injuries, but not fatal ones. His suit was equipped with life support systems, which he rely on, but it did not prevent damage to his body.
There are two possible explanations for his death. One is that his suit was damaged by lightning. Another is that he was killed by a force-lightning bolt.
In the sequel trilogy, Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader finally confronts his son, and in doing so, reveals that he is actually Luke’s father. Sadly, this meant that he had to choose between slaying his son and sacrificing himself.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
The Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader duel was one of the most anticipated scenes of the movie. This episode showed that both heroes have grown in their abilities. They can both hold their own in a fight, but one will probably be more effective than the other.
While Darth Vader may be the stronger villain, Obi-Wan had a chance to take him down on the Death Star. But his body is aging, and he doesn’t have the physical prowess to win the duel.
In addition to Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, the episode features the return of Owen Lars, Anakin Skywalker’s stepbrother. It also includes a short story by writer John Jackson Miller, “Incognito.”
The ending of the episode also answers some unanswered questions. One, was why did Obi-Wan disappear before Vader hit him with his lightsaber? Second, why didn’t Luke help Obi-Wan fight Vader? And third, why didn’t Obi-Wan kill Vader on the moon?
All these questions and more are answered in the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Valder finale.
Ahsoka Tano
The fate of Ahsoka Tano and how Darth Vader dies has been a topic of debate among fans. While it’s not entirely clear whether she died or survived, she was left behind in The Rebels season two finale.
After the death of the Jedi Order, Ahsoka went into hiding. She was eventually arrested and put on trial for her crimes, but she refused to return to the Jedi Order once she was found innocent. In the midst of the Clone Wars, she briefly died. However, she returned to life, and later became a key character in The Mandalorian.
As a Jedi, Ahsoka Skywalker had a mission to bring Anakin back to the light. But after his death, she was unable to communicate with her master. Instead, she began to communicate with a droid he trusted. Eventually, the droid was killed, and she was unable to send him messages.
But the dark side of the Force has a way of killing a person. When Ahsoka was near death, she connected with a dark side wielder. Ultimately, she was stricken and lost consciousness.
As for how Darth Vader dies, the scenario seems to be more of a hunting ground for the remaining Jedi than the death of a Jedi. That’s not to say that Vader was never involved in Ahsoka’s death.
Revenge of the Sith
How Darth Vader dies in Revenge of the Sith is a question that’s on many fans’ minds. The film, which was filmed in China, Thailand, Switzerland and Italy, is a sequel to Return of the Jedi and is the third in the Original Trilogy.
In the first movie, Vader and Padme were reunited, but not before she had died. As a result, Vader had to choose between killing Luke or himself. He ultimately decided to kill his son. But he also decided to sacrifice himself. This was a good decision for him, as he fulfilled the prophecy of bringing balance to the force.
Besides the obvious death, Vader had two children with hidden identities. These children would play an important role in the Rebellion.
Of course, no discussion of how Darth Vader dies in Revenge would be complete without discussing the light side of the Force. For this reason, the film contains a classic unmasking scene.
However, it isn’t until after his death that Vader makes his grand return. It’s during the sequel that we see him in his most iconic black suit, which contained a life support system and a nice rooster tail.
