A plumbing and electrical company has been fined $125,000 for a “sophisticated and well-planned” scheme to mislead consumers using fake online reviews. The Federal Court has found that Star Plus Group Pty Ltd and SPG(SA) Pty Ltd engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct in breach of Australian Consumer Law.
